Who we are

Meshport is built and operated by Devidee, a software consultancy based in the Netherlands. When we say "we", "us", or "our" on this page, we mean Devidee.

What data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Here is exactly what we collect and why.

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

• Name — so we know who we are talking to
• Email address — so we can reply to you
• Company (optional) — to understand the context of your inquiry
• Subject and message — the reason you are reaching out

This information is sent directly to our inbox (info@meshport.nl) via SMTP. We do not store your form submissions in a database. We use this data only to respond to your inquiry.

Analytics

We use Matomo, a self-hosted, open-source analytics tool. Here is what makes it different from most analytics:

• It runs on our own servers — no data is sent to third parties
• We run it in cookieless mode — no tracking cookies are placed on your device
• IP addresses are anonymized before any processing
• We do not track individual users or build profiles

We use analytics solely to understand which pages are visited and how our website is used in aggregate. That is it.

What we do not do

• We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking
• We do not use advertising pixels or retargeting
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone
• We do not build user profiles or track you across websites

Cookies

We only use essential cookies that are necessary for the website to function (such as form submission protection). Since our analytics runs in cookieless mode, no analytics cookies are placed.

We do not use any tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies.

Legal basis for processing

Under the GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases:

• Consent — when you submit the contact form, you choose to share your information with us
• Legitimate interest — we use anonymous analytics to improve our website, which does not impact your privacy

Data retention

Contact form emails are kept in our inbox for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, and no longer than 12 months after our last interaction. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized, so it does not contain personal data.

Where your data is stored

All data stays within the European Union. Our servers, email, and analytics infrastructure are hosted in the EU. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU.

The Meshport platform

Meshport is a self-hosted product. Customers run it on their own infrastructure. We do not host, access, or process any of our customers' data through this website. This privacy policy covers only the meshport.nl website.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to our processing of your personal data
• Withdraw consent — if processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@meshport.nl. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you believe we are not handling your data correctly.

International visitors

If you are visiting from outside the EU, please be aware that your data is processed in the Netherlands under EU data protection law (GDPR), which provides some of the strongest privacy protections in the world.
